    Trademark

Many businesses rely on brand assets, like logos and slogans, to promote and identify their company. If you rely on these types of marks, you must obtain federal registration for them. This will provide you with many essential benefits, including the exclusive right to use your mark nationwide and the ability to sue for trademark infringement. You may also be able to obtain trademark registration for domain names, product packaging, and other aspects of your business

    Copyright

If you create any original work, you should consider registering for a copyright. Copyright registration is a form of protection provided by the U.S. government that gives you the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, perform, or display your work. Copyright registration also allows you to sue for infringement if someone uses your work without your permission.

    trade secret

A company's trade secrets and proprietary information are some of its most valuable assets. To keep these assets secure, the company must build, implement, and test policies and processes to protect them. A critical part of this is working with a trademark attorney in Orlando, Florida, who can help identify what information is most at risk and how best to protect it.

The company should also have procedures for handling and storing trade secrets and preventing employees from disclosing them without authorization. By taking these steps, a company can help to ensure that its trade secrets remain safe and secure.

    FAQ.

    How much does it cost?

Most of intellectual property services are provided as a package. We provide trademarks in a flat fee package based on the number of filings, providing discounts if you need additional marks. We do offer many other types of services relating to IP which can vary in cost. Speak with our business development team to learn more about which packages would work best for you.

Why should I hire a lawyer for a trademark when I can do it myself online for a fraction of the cost?

In theory, filing yourself sounds easy enough; you fill out the application, pay the fee, it's reviewed, and approved or denied. Statistically, filing yourself you have less than a 40% approval rate on the first application. If it's rejected, you have to respond. When you hire an attorney to file these forms, your approval rate on the first application increases drastically, more so if you're hiring an attorney for a response to an Office Action.

    Why?

The USPTO has attorneys reviewing these forms. This is of course a legal process, and legal arguments are needed.

    Why do you require deposits?

Simply put, we want to be a transparent as possible with our pricing. The deposits we take generally reflect either the full cost of the service for flat fees, or a the first section of the project for hourly fees. This means that our potential clients have a good understanding of the fees associated before the service even starts. Additionally, requiring these deposits allows our attorneys more time to focus on client work, and provide that extra meeting, or work ahead of schedule.

We still understand how it can be intimidating to hire an attorney without meeting them first. That's why we offer a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. If you do not wish to continue with our services after the first meeting with the attorney for any reason, or our attorneys inform you that your matter may not be worth pursuing, we will provide a full refund.

i applied for a trademark, now I have something called an office action. What is that?

Office Actions are the USPTO's formal response to your application. These generally mean that your application needs to be adjusted, corrected, or supplemented in some way. Of all things that we believe business owners can DIY, we strongly suggest  an attorney for this part of the process. Reach out to our Business Development team if you have received one of these letters and would like a quote.
