Don't Become a Copycat Target
Stop Infringers Dead in Their Tracks
Your company will invest a lot of time, money, and energy into building up its brand. Our law firm can help you get the maximum possible protection under U.S. and international law.
Our Process
Intellectual Property Protection Projects
- Initiation
- Planning
- Execution
- Completion
IP Project Stage One: Initiation
Our legal team will start your intellectual property protection project by gathering information from you to create an inventory of all intellectual property assets and who has access to each for all assets that exist now, are under development, or planned for the future.
Using the inventory worksheet, the team will sort the items into five categories:
-
Proprietary information
-
Trade secrets
-
Brand assets
-
Ideas and inventions
-
Confidential third-party information
At the project initiation ("kickoff") meeting, the attorney will go over the classifications and what legal protections are available for each. He or she will answer all your legal questions about those protections and provide you with recommendations.
Once you and the attorney reach consensus on the solutions to be implemented, we will proceed to the next stage.
Stage Two: Planning
With the project parameters set at the initial meeting, the team will enter milestones and tasks into our firm's project management software.
A team member will then follow up with you to confirm the project budget and expected completion date.
Stage Three: Execution
With the milestones entered and the task assignments handed out, the project lead monitors and controls the process in an effort to keep things running smoothly and within budget constrains.
Based on the frequency you request in your kickoff meeting, a team member will periodically provide you with status updates.
Stage Four: Completion
In closing out an intellectual property protection project, our team meets with you (or other stakeholders) to ensure that everyone agrees the outcome has been successfully achieved and all deliverables have been provided to you.
